Staghorn ferns are beautiful in appearance and make for an amazing art-like plant and conversation piece once mounted in any room. The plants have two types of leaves, one of which resembles the horns of a large herbivore. Mounted or in a basket is how to grow a staghorn fern, because they are epiphytic (like air plants), growing in trees generally. Staghorn fern care relies on careful light, temperature and moisture monitoring. *Keep in mind, the fern will come in a pot but should eventually be mounted as they naturally grow on trees and mounting will encourage healthy growth*
Included: Staghorn Fern Plant, 4" or 6" nursery pot, care instructions
Size: will be shipped in a 4 or 6 inch nursery pot Plant Difficulty: Easy. Great for beginners and an easy to care for indoor house plant.
Light Exposure: bright, indirect light. Be sure it is not placed in direct sunlight as the leaves can be burned!
Watering: Good staghorn fern care requires frequent watering, but allow the plant medium to dry out in between. Do not water over the foliage and minimize humidity indoors to prevent the disfiguring spores as the stag horn is prone to black spot on the leaves.
