The calathea medallion is known for its large, medallion-like leaves that could be mistaken as being painted with brushstrokes of deep green, white, and fuschia tones. Although this plant is an increasingly popular choice, it remains a relatively high-maintenance houseplant and requires a bit of extra TLC to keep those leaves perky and shining. The calathea medallion is simple to care for as long as it's cared for in the proper environment. It can be a great beginner's houseplant but make sure to place the plant where it will receive medium to bright indirect light, shielding from direct sun (Important!).
